The Mexican colonial style has very special characteristics, own of
the fusion of cultures that gave rise to the modern country. If you want to know
examples of this decorative style, there is nothing better than one of its most
emblematic hotels so that you have a clear idea of their characteristics. Let's
look at the decoration of luxury to the Mexican in the Hotel Playa Mazatlan in
Mexico.
The architecture in colonial style of the Hotel Playa Mazatlan
offers us a vision of this seemingly traditional building nestled beside the
sea. With three levels, the construction is developed horizontally in a series
of connected volumes, structured around the gardens and the swimming pool, as
the old houses. Also the constructive materials used are traditional.
The tropical gardens adorned with fountains and waterfalls, give
way to the large well-lit interior spaces. For the whole building were used warm
colors, the range of the beige ones that predominates in walls and tissues, is
complemented with the dark wood and tiled floors to the tone.
The rooms have a rustic mexican decoration, modern and functional,
pretty stripped. For the floors were used ceramic tiles or light woods,
depending on the room category. Contemporary furniture is solid wood and simple
lines.
A detail very characteristic is the use of indoor plants and fresh
flowers, present in the different spaces of the hotel, providing colorful and
vitality to the environments.
